The metaphysical difference between persons and their bodies is that persons have first-person perspectives essentially. </li><li>Her concept of a <a name="5"></a><A HREF="../../Notes/Notes_0/Notes_22.htm">First-Person Perspective</A><SUP>8</SUP> strikes me as important and correct. However, she thinks of <a name="6"></a><A HREF="../../Notes/Notes_0/Notes_9.htm">personhood</A><SUP>9</SUP> not merely as a property of certain beings, but as making some sort of <a name="7"></a><A HREF="../../Notes/Notes_0/Notes_8.htm">ontological</A><SUP>10</SUP> difference. </li><li>Because a person is constituted by  but not identical to  the being that constitutes it, she claims that a particular person is portable from one of these beings to another.
