Brief Notes

  1. An interesting update following the recent crash.
  2. However, it's not really about Bitcoin itself but about the myriad other cryptocurrencies and those that look rather like crypto-derivatives.
  3. My view remains that the whole edifice is worthless and will come crashing down further as times get harder. That despite the ‘interesting technology’.
  4. Also, its use of energy – particularly in ‘bitcoin mining’ – is adding to global ruin. See, for example, Hinsdale - Cryptocurrency's Dirty Secret: Energy Consumption.
