Introductory Notes
  1. I don’t normally attend these events, but having read a couple of Yuval Noah Harari’s (YNH’s) books, thought I’d listen in.
  2. The student-participants had received a copy of YNH’s talk, but I’ve not been able to find it on-line, so have had to reconstruct it from notes I made when listening live on Zoom. There doesn’t seem to be a podcast available either, though maybe one will turn up1.
  3. Also, I had to leave towards the end as I was due to play bridge, so missed the detail of the Provost’s ‘3 take-aways’. One was that not all hope is lost and that we can achieve something by coordinated action.
  4. The early exit and the evening’s activities meant that I didn’t have the opportunity to review my notes after the session. So, my write-up will be neither fully accurate nor complete.
  5. Details about the major2 participating individuals and organisations can be found by following the links below:-
