Introduction
- There are three “Dicey Verbal Analogies” IQ tests in this set, with 20 items per test. Write your answers for each test on a sheet of paper, then correct and score your tests using the answer keys and scoring directions given in the back of this issue.
- You should record an answer for each item, and there is no penalty for guessing. Do not skip any items, do not cheat, and do not ask for help or seek it out using the internet or a dictionary. No reference materials are allowed. You want an honest evaluation of your approximate aptitude in verbal reasoning. Honor your highest ethical self.
- There is no time limit. However, if you desire a limitation, give yourself 45 seconds per item on the first two exams (or a maximum of 15 minutes per exam) and 60 seconds per item on the third exam (20 minutes for exam 3). The basic formula to use when reading and understanding each item is as follows. You should read “A : B :: C : ?” as “A is to B as C is to what?” As you progress through the three tests, apply this basic formula.
